Last couple of months have been path breaking in the history of Indian sport. The much awaited Indian Soccer League (ISL) was finally announced after a long drawn battle between ISL management and clubs playing I League and IPFCA and Anand Mahindra’s concept of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) took shape and managed to thrill sports content hungry enthusiasts in India with a sleek and well packaged Kabaddi programming on Star Sports.
In other news World Kabaddi League (WKL) kicked off the Punjabi style kabaddi in USA and Canada in the process managed to create a ground cum televised event for Indians in USA, Canada and UK.
To add to the new mix we have Indian Premier League (Cricket), Indian Badminton League, Hockey India League and I League (Soccer) and possibly the heavy duty proposed International Premier Tennis League later in 2014.
